Before you jump into it:
In order to use the Idea box to turn your Facebook campaigns into Google Performance Max campaigns, you need to have previously connected your Google Ads account in the Connect Platforms tab. We also recommend having launched at least one Google Search campaign from your account before generating a Google Pmax one so as to make the most out of the optimizations.
1. Access Your Facebook Campaign
Head over to the advertise tab and scroll down until you find the Facebook campaign that you want to convert.
2. Locate the Idea Box
The Idea box will be to the right of the platform name (Facebook).
3. Initiate the Conversion
Clicking the Idea box will open the option to create a Google Performance Max campaign. Click on “Create”.
4. Review and Adjust
Your images, headlines and descriptions will be automatically generated from the base campaign that you’ve chosen. All you need to do is review the content.
You can make any adjustments to targeting, creative, or other elements as needed.
5. Add your Logo & assets
The Logo is the only required feature that’s not automatically generated, so don’t forget to upload your business Logo.
You can add other assets you might want to test as well.
6. Launch the Campaign
Adjust the budget and click on create! Your campaign is ready.
FAQsCan I turn my old or paused Facebook campaigns into Pmax campaigns? Yes! If your campaigns were launched in AI Ads you’ll be able to transform them. Campaigns launched natively in Facebook Ads won't show in the dashboard.
Do I need to have a Google Ads account to use this? Yes! Make sure you have a valid payment method.
