The location targeting option you choose will be used to find people who live in the selected location or have recently been there. This means that perhaps the person was there in a certain period of time but does not belong there.

Meta technologies use a variety of signals to show ads to people who are part of your location targeting selections. Because these signals vary, absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Occasionally, you may see a small number of ad impressions coming from a location other than your location selection (or even receive messages or leads from that location).

In addition, sometimes people can see ads organically. In those cases, your ad may see engagement in the form of likes, comments, and shares that aren't targeted. We may also show previews of an ad to people connected to the business, even if they're not in your targeting location. You will not be charged for preview prints.
